CHRISTINE FRIBERG Q&A

What is your go to tune atm?

Anna Kohlins whole upcoming release for KMA60, can’t get enough! Make sure to check it out! My fave track is “ what’s your output”

If you had to describe your music using emojis, which ones would you choose?

☄️💥⚡️🌪️🫧

If you could have any musician, dead or alive, play alongside you during a set, who would it be?

I would love to go b2b with wiz kid Gene on earth! He’s one of my favorite producers and I think we would be a great match, also I think we would have so much fun in the booth! He seems like my kind of guy.

For those who don’t know Christine Friberg, tell us something people don’t know about you?

When I was 19 I used to work at a tarot reading hotline. Taking calls for 19.90 kr/ minute.

Do you have any pre-show rituals or superstitions that you follow?

My warm up is almost always a few hours at Hagabadet, where I meditate, do some yoga, sauna and perhaps a little nap listening to binaural sounds. It’s very important to me to keep a healthy balance in my life. Also it makes me calm and ease my nerves if I am a bit nervous before an important gig. I also have my lucky charm and crystals with me to every gig.

LISFORV Q&A

If you could only play one track for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I would say Desolé by DAVI, a track I fell in love with in 2017, works but as a warm up track, main, and after. Pure magic.

Explain your music vibe in 3 words?

Rhythmic, percussive, groovy.

If you could play a set at any festival in the world, which one would it be?

That is a really hard question, hmm, definitely somewhere warm and exotic, maybe Zamna in Tulum.

How do you balance staying true to your own sound while also evolving as an artist?

That is probably the issue a lot of artists battle with, but I think for me it would be to find something that you  really love.  I’ve been traveling and listening to music in all types of different corners of the world, and that is probably what’s motivates me to create something unique.  For me it took a while to find a sound that represents me, but you are always evolving also so your sound will too, and also  in the end it’s your own music and feelings. But to answer your question, I think I want to show people how good this type of music can be when you hear it in the right venue. To mix organic percussion with new thinking electronic sounds.

How do you prepare for a set like this Saturday att SURROUNDED?

First of all I spent a night at the nightclub myself actually to get a feeling of the club, and what I should play, but also to make it a unique experience for the crowd. I will play a lot of unreleased music from myself combining with the sounds of my current favorite producers. – Let’s bring the jungle to Surrounded.
