Q&A WITH:
SAMO is a Swedish based DJ who started his career in Sydney Australia where he’s played at various clubs and events. He has later moved back to Sweden and is now a resident at NYCTO and SOLID playing at clubs and events around the country. With Samo’s style of DJing you can expect some solid grooves with drumming beats and a driving baseline focusing a lot on Indie dance & house techno with unique and unexpected sounds.
My favourite track at the moment is “Yamobeecha – 40 Thieves” – the groove is just impeccable.
Oh, wow that’s a hard one, there have been a few. But the ones that stand out to me the most are the ones in the famous techno-tunnel in Gothenburg with NYCTO.
The key for me is to listen to many different genres and try to find tracks that excites me and try to implement them in my sets. Every set is also different depending on the night so that keeps me on my toes and forces me to dig deep for music.
Q&A WITH:
VALON pushes harmonies together with a unique style of moody melodic techno. Painting his sound with intriguing synth escapades and electronica beats. The unexpected along with soundscapes of the unknown. Try standing still to his output and find your body and mind in argue.
VALON who normally plays in Sweden have also played internationally in clubs like KB18 and Culture Box in Copenhagen
I try to have a clear understanding with the promoter or venue of what they expect from me and of course always stay updated and prepared with my music.
This is a tough one as there is a lot of legends out there that I dream to do a collaboration with. But one that stands out is Luciano. Always been a big fan of his way to produce and play music, really a composer. Luciano was the one that made me fell in love with the electronic music even though I don’t play similar music today.
As probably many people out there I’m in love with the nightclubs and nightlife in Ibiza. Therefore, this is a very easy question for me to answer; Pacha Ibiza.
